The current slimming/weightloss market is vast, with overweight figures worldwide growing day-on-day. The evidence, if you care to look, is all around you.
The Department of Health in England state that 50% of women and 75% of men are overweight or obese.
The slimming industry in the UK, if we include exercise, supplements, diet meals and slimming classes, is now worth nearly ten billion pounds each year. The same slimming industry in the USA is worth almost forty billion dollars a year!
It seems that no matter how much money we fling at weightloss there is no one-fit solution which can help everyone.
We know that overall, the diets, slimming aids, exercise regimes, formula slimming meals and slimming systems are simply not working. But we think that this is largely because the slimming industry is unregulated - people can and do say what they like about their weightloss products in order to make a sale. Year on year this situation has encouraged a gullible public to spend serious money on dubious weightloss products. By doing so they are led to believe slimming claims which can't possibly be fulfilled, and as they fail to lose weight or keep the weight off, they also lose faith in their own ability to slim successfully.
